Propietarios de Prado obtienen diplomado en Patrimonio

Informa Gonzalo Isaza que los vecinos Claudia Gonzalez, Felipe Vasquez y Gonzalo Isaza, han realizado la diplomatura en normativa urbanística y patrimonio cultural comuna 10 en la UPB. Se tiene la intención de conformar una veeduría que estará pendiente del actuar administrativo principalmente en la comuna 10. Pensamos impulsar el barrio hacia generar una dinámica sostenible. FELICITACIONES!!!

Prado, en la guía turística de Medellin

Prado was a residential neighborhood par excellence, where the local business elite built European-inspired mansions, incorporating the work of outstanding local craftsmen. Ample streets and front yards planted with large flowering cadmium and guayacan trees adorn every roadway in the sector. The neighborhood is recognized for the outstanding domestic architectural work which took place in Medellín until 1950. The neighborhood has been declared an Area of Heritage Conservation in the city as defined in the “Heritage Protection Plan” issued by City Council in 2009. The sector is today home to various cultural agencies, which under the leadership of the Cultural Agencies Association-Asencultura-, work to revitalize the cultural values of the neighborhood, thus benefiting the citizen's enjoyment of the area's heritage memories. Some outstanding attractions include: • El Teatro Prado belonging to the Águila Descalza Corporation, which restored one of the old mansions in the area, offers a permanent schedule of events as well as a cozy Terrace Bar. • Casa Tres Patios, the only site dedicated to Contemporary Art in the city and offering permanent exhibits by local and overseas artists. It also offers lodging to artists. • La Casa del Teatro, declared Cultural Heritage of Medellín, offers theatrical pieces and is home to the most important library collection dedicated to theatre in the country. The tourist can also enjoy visiting Teatro el Tablado for art exhibits, Academia Rembrandt where scholars on Classical form and techniques convene, Colibrí Sur a small quaint gallery showcasing various tendencies in the fine arts, or practicing yoga or dancing at Casablanca or at the Escuela de Ballet Folclórico de Antioquia. .

Este Lunes 12 de Septiembre: Comisión accidental Prado Centro

El lunes 12 de Septiembre tendremos una comisión accidental en el RECINTO DEL CONCEJO en la Alpujarra  a las 2,30 p,m. Es de gran importancia la asistencia de la comunidad del barrio, se trataran temas  como:
RUTAS DE BUSES POR EL BARRIO, usos de los suelos ej, inquilinatos,la seguridad entre otros.
